Highlights: Hiking or walking is the best way of exploring New Zealand's natural beauty. Therefore this New Zealand walking tour includes many walks in the most beautiful National Parks. You will discover extinct as well as active volcanoes, secluded beaches, deep mountain lakes, geysers and thermal activity areas as well as fiords and rainforests. Experience the double culture of the Polynesian Maoris and European settlers with their different traditions and feel the flair of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

This small group walking tour is for those who want to see New Zealand and do many short hikes along the way.

Day 1: Sightseeing tour of Christchurch
Day 2: Travel to Queenstown, visit Lake Tekapo and do an optional scenic flight over Mt Cook, or Aoraki, the cloud piercer or walk up Mount John (approx.2hrs).
Day 3: Rest day in Queenstown to explore this Adventure Capital.
Day 4: Travel to Lake Te Anau. Optional activities are to visit Lake Manapouri or walk part of the Kepler Track.
Day 5: To Milford Sound and overnight on the Milford Wanderer.
Day 6: Milford Sound to Te Anau and then Wanaka.
Day 7: Wanaka and Mt Iron Walk.
Day 8: Wanaka to Fox Glacier.
Day 9: Fox Glacier to Punakaiki and Westport. via Frans Josef Glacier
Day 10: Westport to Picton.
Day 11: Picton and the Queen Charlotte Walkway.
Day 12: Queen Charlotte Walkway to Wellington.
Day 13: Wellington to Tongariro National Park.
Day 14: Tongariro National Park - Rotorua
Day 15: Rotoura and exploring this amazing thermal area.
Day 16: Rotorua - Coromandel Town
Day 17: Explore the Coromandel Peninsula's beautiful beaches or bush
Day 18: Coromandel Peninsula - Auckland
Day 19: Auckland - Departure
