Kowhai Horse Trek
While staying in Christchurch, spend a full day on a farm. You can be picked up from your accommodation in Christchurch or Oxford at around 9:00am. You will be taken to the farm where you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and meet your riding instructor for the day. You can then help with grooming and saddling your horse followed by a 11/2 hour riding lesson. Enjoy eating lunch with the family in the homestead. After lunch, take in the views of the Canterbury Plains as you go on a scenic farm trek.
After your ride, you are welcome to tea or coffee before departing back to your Christchurch or Oxford accommodation around 5:30pm.

Directions:
Head North on the Northern Motorway.
Follow signs to Oxford (approx 40 minutes drive)
Go straight through Oxford
After Oxford go over the Eyre River bridge, then take the first road right. (Woodstock Rd)
Go around 8km, turn right at 'Kowhai' sign.
Take the first road left Island Rd Kowhai is at the end of this road.
Booking Conditions:
Kowhai reserve the right to cancel treks on days where circumstances beyond our control would affect the safety of horses and riders.
Failure to arrive within 30 minutes of the trek departure time or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice results in the loss of the booking fee.
