Home Lea offers a comfortable and enjoyable stay.  Built in the early 1900’s Home Lea has the charm and character of a large New Zealand home of that era: Rimu panelling, leadlight windows, and a lounge with a log fire and grand piano.  Home Lea is centrally located within walking distance of Cathedral Square, Art Gallery, Botanic Gardens and a variety of restaurants. 

We are easy to find, situated on the north side of Bealey Avenue near Colombo Street, Christchurch’s main street.  Off street parking, and wireless internet facilities available for guests. Special diets catered for at Home Lea Bed & Breakfast
 
At the 2008 At home NEW ZEALAND conference (The organization for Quality Bed & Breakfasts),  we were awarded the Jasons SMART Business Award for our efforts in introducing sustainable practices to our business.
 
Pauline and Gerald are happy to share their knowledge of local attractions and their special interests are travel, sailing and music.

Home Lea has 5 guest bedrooms, with 1 king, 3 queen and 3 single beds between them. Our guest rooms are spacious, have pleasant decor and are furnished with quality bedding to ensure a comfortable stay.

During the winter months, the guest lounge has a cosy fire to welcome guests, and tea, coffee, biscuits and fruit are always available as well.

Dinner is available by arrangement

Family groups and children are welcome at Home Lea Bed & Breakfast.
