If you're short on time, this single day trip includes all the options available at Abel Tasman.
Beginning with a guided half-day kayak trip, your guide will introduce you to safe paddling techniques and settle you into a stable double kayak. Then, head out on the water and have fun!
The kayaking is suitable for families and first time paddlers. You will explore the spectacular Kaiteriteri coastline with golden beaches and sculpted granite features, including the famous "Split Apple Rock". Stop on a golden sand beach for a short break, then return to Kaiteriteri by 12 noon and enjoy lunch on the beach or a nearby cafe.
Swap your kayak for walking shoes and hop on board the 1:00pm Vista Cruise to the golden sands of Onetahuti, visiting the fascinating seal colony at Tonga Island on the way.
Arrive at Tonga Quarry at 2:30pm, disembark and walk the coastal track for approximately 2 - 2.5 hours to Medlands Beach.
Rejoin the Vista Cruise at 4:45 to cruise back to Kaiteriteri, arriving at 5:45pm.
Stay in Kaiteriteri for a celebratory drink or meal, or catch the connecting bus to Motueka or Nelson.
Departs: Kaiteriteri, check in at 9:10am
